After studies in France in Musical High schools in Paris and Lyon (Ircam/ Sorbonne University/ Conservatoire supérieur de musique) in harmony, counterpoint , composition, musicology (on georges Delerue's work and semantic in film music), conducting , Philippe Jakko began to work as a composer for differents things: Ballets for Dance companies, Music for theatre, for commercials, for short Films and Films, and rock and pop songs as well. He produced and composed several hit singles in France and Europe for Warner (Christophe Maé "Parce qu'on sait jamais"/ n°1 in France) , for TF1 network and sony/bmg music (Nomads "Yakalelo" / N°1 in France, N°5 in Holland, N°1 in Poland, N°4 in England on Mtv charts). Also for Universal and different labels…

He worked as a producer, composer and worked in recording studios with several artists from rock singers (he also plays his own rock music!) to classicals musicians. He plays guitars, piano, keyboards, bass or arabic oud and conducts himself .

"Frederik , the director wanted choirs and ancient voices to sublimate the mystery, i've think of all the amazing "darks" church's pieces of music, from Ockeghem's Requiem to Pergolese's "Stabat mater" .
For the theme of the Krostons, i wanted something magic , for children and adults both, i've think about the "Scrubbing brush dance" in Disney's Fantasia, and its beautiful music of Paul Dukas."
